May 17, 2012: St Paul’s

St Paul’s Cathedral sits on the highest point in the City of London. It survived through many bombing attacks during WWII. (It was damaged but not destroyed.)

It has been the site of many famous funerals, including those of Horatio Nelson, the Duke of Wellington, Sir Winston Churchill and George Mallory. (And apparently former prime minister Margaret Thatcher is set to have a state funeral at the cathedral upon her death.) from Wikipedia

And the Chamber became as a Clouded Sky
