Anthony Quinn Bay in Rhodes, Greece.

According to Wikipedia, the great statue known as the Colossus of Rhodes stood for only 56 years until damaged by earthquake in 226 BCE. “The remains lay on the ground as described by Strabo (xiv.2.5) for over 800 years, and even broken, they were so impressive that many traveled to see them. Pliny the Elder remarked that few people could wrap their arms around the fallen thumb and that each of its fingers was larger than most statues.”

Breakaways – Coober Pedy, originally uploaded by Georgie Sharp.

The Breakaways area of Australia – “thus named because from a distance, the features look like they have ‘broken away’ from the main range – the Stuart Ranges.” (http://www.ausemade.com.au/sa/destination/b/breakaways/breakaways-reserve-information.htm)

One of the hottest places in Australia, apparently.

Hee, check out this most awesome butter sculpture from the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair!

But I still want to see a butter cow, a butter Elvis, and butter Last Supper – with butter on the table.
