Tough and adaptable Scottish blackface, originally uploaded by B℮n.

Sheep on the Isle of Skye!

The island is found off the west coast of Scotland, and is the largest of the Inner Hebrides. (Pronounced heb-reh-dees, not he-brides, as I thought as a child.) It is sometimes referred to in Gaelic poetry and song as Eilean a’ Cheò (The Misty Isle).
