Pysanka is often used to describe any type of decorated egg, but it specifically refers to an egg created by the written-wax batik method.

Aren’t these amazing? You can learn to do your own pysanka eggs with any of the various tutorials found online like this one!

Also, did you know that the world’s largest pysanka was erected in located in Vegreville, Alberta, Canada in 1974, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police? I didn’t, but now I do!
