It’s not really anywhere close to Hallowe’en yet, but already the sun is setting earlier and rising later, and there was a crispness to the air here that made me feel a bit autumnal.

I have always liked the idea of the new year beginning in the fall; where I live, at least, the seasons palpably change, and for many years the activities changed – from summer camp to school days.

I know that Rosh Hashanah doesn’t start until sundown next Friday, September 18th, but I thought I’d celebrate a bit of fall today.
