Prince William Sound, Alaska, 07/14/08, originally uploaded by Ash Crowe.

The second-ever photo featured on this blog was of a sea otter – we love otters in our house – and when I saw this picture of a sea otter in Prince William Sound, I could not resist it.

I highly recommend that you take a look at the rest of this amazing set of photos from Alaska, especially the ones like this incredible shot of Denali from the air. (It’s called flightseeing!)

Enjoy! If you like the photo, please drop a comment to the original photographer at Flickr. (And you can buy prints of Ash Crowe’s photos (and of Agatha Donkar’s) here.)

Arctic Ponies, originally uploaded by oskarpall.

I seem to be on a shades-of-gray theme. Look at these adorable and fuzzy Icelandic horses!

the gift of the moose, originally uploaded by Steve took it.

Great photo of a moose in northern Ontario – and even better is the story of “the gift of the moose”. Click on the photo to read how this experience came about!

(This photographer tells a good story, I also liked this one about a beaver.)

Garlic, originally uploaded by // Between the Lines //.

I really like this composition and the neutral colours. What a nice piece!

(And the bowl is awesome, I love its curves and raised ends.)

Paddy fields between the limestone cliffs, originally uploaded by Bеn.

A limestone cliff covered in trees and growth rises dramatically in Laos. Amazing stuff.

‘SMALL HOUSE – BIG CLIFFS’ – Best viewed large !, originally uploaded by Mundilfari*.

Tiny house, huge cliffs! I don’t know that I wouldn’t go crazy living there, worrying about just when exactly a rock would crush my house!

Rosemary Yam Fries, originally uploaded by Aktivistin.

The word stuck in my head was “rosemary”, but now the idea of these gorgeous rosemary yam fries is stuck there instead.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, rosemary yam fries.
