Nantes, originally uploaded by gwen_grd.

A beautiful sunset to end the month of March. This picture was taken in Nantes, France.

Aren’t the clouds beautiful? And as you’ve likely learned by now, I love a good silhouette of trees/buildings/etc. against the sky.

British Museum, originally uploaded by dorsetbays.

It’s the ceiling of the courtyard at the British Museum! Isn’t it cool? And I love the white-on-white-on-grey effect in this photo.

And check out this great shot, too!

This car also had an Obama 08 sticker. (And a New York Yankees licence plate surround.), originally uploaded by StephA17.

OK, I’m sure it’s totally gauche to link to one of your own pictures in your photo blog, but I had to share this great bumper sticker I saw on Friday.

(This car also had an Obama 08 sticker. (And a New York Yankees licence plate surround, which was unexpected but awesome.)

I hope you all had a nice dark Earth Hour! We turned off all the lights but left the TV on because March Madness was exciting.

PEACE EARTH LOVE NO W!

Old Leira, originally uploaded by hkvam.

I love the sky in this shot, and the horizon line being at the level of the horse’s back – and the straight-on look of the horse herself (Leira is her name, says the original poster) as she rests.

Balloon Trip, originally uploaded by radioink.

How beautiful are hot air balloons? Pretty beautiful! Doesn’t this look like fun? (Unless you are afraid of heights, in which case, don’t look!)

Thwing!, originally uploaded by barronr.

My parents are off to visit the Old Country, which will of course include a visit to Thwing! (And they’ll also go through or to Hull, Foxholes, Whitby, Scarborough, Sledmere, Great Driffield, Little Driffield, Bishop Burton, Burton Agnes, Cherry Burton – the prettiest of the Burtons, in my opinion – and Thornton-le-Dale.)

Have a safe and happy trip, Mom and Dad! Don’t forget to drive on the left!

Helene Hanff Letter, originally uploaded by K. Moriarty.

Today’s picture is of a letter written by Helene Hanff. I know much of my audience knows that delightful woman by name, but in case you don’t … her correspondence forms the backbone of the book “84, Charing Cross Road”.

I was in the mood to read some of her letters today, and so decided to dedicate today’s picture to her.

I also direct your attention to this lovely plaque which is mounted in one of the buildings where she used to live in New York.
