Sarlat Geese, originally uploaded by steph.A.

Today’s photo is of a statue of three geese in the medieval town of Sarlat (or Sarlat-la-Canéda) in France. The region (the Périgord Noir in the Dordogne) is well-known for its goose-related food – pate de fois gras is the best known example of this.

This statue is in one of my favourite “squares”, surrounded by beautiful buildings, and the whole town is just gorgeous. (If it looks at all familiar, it might interest you to know that parts of Ever After, a Cinderella Story with Drew Barrymore and Anjelica Houston were filmed around Sarlat.)

Enjoy today’s photo! If you like the photo, please drop a comment to the original photographer at Flickr.
