Cow Parade, originally uploaded by abelha-rainha.

Today’s photo is of statues by the beach in Rio de Janeiro. The cow is a part of Cow Parade, which is an international public art exhibit.

The statue of the man is a statue of Carlos Drummond de Andrade, who Wiki tells me is “perhaps the most influential Brazilian poet of the 20th century.”

I like the perspective of this photo, the light, and the subject matter – goofy cow statues rule! And, I learned about a famous Brazilian poet! (I love learning.)

Enjoy today’s photo! If you like the photo, please drop a comment to the original photographer at Flickr.
