Gao Gao, originally uploaded by foocheung.

Today’s picture is of Gao Gao, a panda who lives at the San Diego Zoo. Gao Gao and his mate, Bai Yun, are considered the most reproductively successful panda parents in captivity in North America, having produced three cubs together through natural mating (that is, not artificial insemination).

I really like the line of colour from the bamboo that cuts across this picture, and the really clear lines of Gao Gao’s muzzle as he bites/licks/sniffs the bamboo. As well, you can really see the panda’s claws! The tree to the side has interesting details, too.

Enjoy! If you like the photo, please drop a comment to the original photographer at Flickr.

Happy Friday, all. Thanks for reading/looking at what I’ve Seen On Flickr!
