Manhatten Bridge, originally uploaded by hdc..

The Manhattan Bridge crosses the East River in New York City, connecting Lower Manhattan with Brooklyn. The bridge was opened to traffic on December 31, 1909. Amusingly to me, the neighborhood near the bridge on the Brooklyn side is called DUMBO, an acronym for District Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass.
